I used to think sustainability was only about environmental protection, but now I understand it's broader and must be measured systematically across social, economic, and environmental areas.      Learning about various indices such as the Human Development Index, Ecological Footprint, and Happy Planet Index opened my eyes to how countries and organizations can evaluate well-being and not just economic growth. Through fieldwork and on-campus observation, I have gained deeper insights into IIUM’s commitment to sustainability, from initiatives such as food waste composting and energy conservation to broader environmental programs.
